Corrosion-resistant housings
Amphenol has introduced special corrosion-resistant housings that are suitable for use in extreme environments.
The housings address the problem of crevice corrosion between the different spare parts, such as levers, die casts and fixing parts.
Tests show that the housings can withstand salt mist according to IEC 60512-11-6:2002 for more than 500 hours.
The new housings are particularly suitable for applications where salt mist is a challenge for the components.
Applications include wind power, railways, cranes and other outdoor uses.
