Star-Line EX connectors
Amphenol Industrial has introduced ROHS-compliant connectors that provide up to 1,500A in signal, control and power applications.
Amphenol's Star-Line EX connectors are certified for use in Zone 1-llc hazardous environments.
The connectors provide electrical, design and instrumentation engineers with a safe interconnection to modular equipment.
They come with solder, crimp or pressure terminals, eliminating the need for hard wiring to terminal blocks enclosed in junction boxes.
In addition to stainless steel or brass housings, the Star-Line EX series comes in lightweight aluminum housings precision machined from high-tensile strength bar stock and finished with a hard-anodised coating to 40 points on the Rockwell C scale.
The series features a dielectric strength of 1,800V and heat resistance up to 750F (399C).
Amphenol also offers a range of interchangeable and reversible backshell arrangements and contact inserts, including power (up to 1,500A at 1,000V), signal (up to 143 contacts) and mixed power and control applications.
Contacts are copper with standard silver plating, with optional gold plating available.
