Zipline connector system available from FCI
FCI
Zipline connectors
FCI is offering Zipline connectors in orthogonal and backpanel configurations and corresponding power connectors for high volume applications.
With transmission speeds up to 12.5Gb/s and density up to 101 signal pairs per linear inch at 1.5mm column pitch, the Zipline connector system is available with press fit termination.
Zipline is built upon FCI's Airmax VS technology and offers similar signal integrity performance.
Like Airmax VS, the Zipline system uses edge-coupling technology to deliver high signal density with low insertion loss and low crosstalk, all without the use of metal shields.
Data rates can scale up to 12.5Gb/s without requiring re-design of a basic platform.
Zipline offers pin configurations with signal density in all three dimensions to address mechanical and thermal concerns for system designers.
Standard orthogonal, backpanel, and power components can be configured in many ways to satisfy application requirements without the need for new tooling or long lead times.
The system also uses hard metric design practice and can be used with other FCI products including Airmax VS signal, power and guides, and HCI power connectors.
