Yokowo pogo pins reduce design size and weight
Yokowo
Pogo pins
Yokowo's spring pin connectors - or pogo pins - are claimed to enable designers to reduce the size and weight of their designs, while improving overall performance.
Features include a long working stroke, multiple contact points (with a narrow pin-pitched effect), stable contact pressure, excellent durability cycles and a simplified mating connector (both one-touch and slide).
The connector features gold plating and all of its materials meet lead-free requirements.
The company claims that, when compared to traditional leaf spring connectors, its pogo pins are more compact and durable.
Various combinations of spring pins allow for the greater flexibility of the shape and the size of the holder.
Unlike leaf connectors, the mating terminal of Yokowo's product can be flat, enabling one-touch (slide) connect and disconnect.
A slightly inaccurate distance between the printed circuit board and the body does not affect performance.
Yokowo offers a variety of spring pins and connector housings and can customise spring pin connectors to meet short-term requirements.
Standard model options are said to save initial costs.
Solderless designs are also available with reduced assembly costs.
Some application possibilities include cellular, radio, medical, consumer electronics and aerospace for battery, speaker or radio-frequency device connections.
