ITT develops APD high-voltage interconnects for automotive and industrial applications

APD high-voltage connectors from ITT Interconnect Solutions are IP67/IP69K rated for automotive applications such as hybrid/electric vehicles, power distribution boxes, and controls and junction boxes.
Additional applications for the connectors include agricultural machinery, industrial automation and robotics.
According to ITT, the high-voltage connector line can conduct 10 times more VDC than standard APD interconnects.
Increased voltage capacity has been achieved by adjusting the design of the insulator body and by improving the air and creepage distance.

• Identical dimensions and layout to standard APD four-way connectors
• Handles operating voltages of up to 500VDC and operating current of up to 34A
• Impulse voltage rated at 3.5kV; operating current up to 34A for wire size 4.0mm2
• Bayonet mated
• Rated to IP67, increasing to IP69K when using individual wire sealing
