Honda offers renewable energy accessories
Honda Connectors is announcing the introduction of a series of locking power connectors and accessories for the renewable energies industry.
The RZM series has been developed for use in photovoltaic panels in solar battery applications.
Connectors are TUV certified as standard, with UL accreditation currently being obtained.
The company said that the RZM series connectors are easy to assemble and connect.
They also incorporate additional safety features including a friction locking mechanism, and are robust enough to withstand harsh environments.
The connectors are suitable for use with 2mm2, 3.5mm2 and 4mm2 wiring.
Honda's photovoltaic panel connectors, rated at 20A, feature a simple construction, designed for durability and reliability.
The two-piece design crimp connector is IP67 rated and requires a high mating for force >89N.
Honda has also developed a range of accessories to complement its RZM photovoltaic panel connector series.
Included are hold-down fixtures, junction boxes and customer specific cable assemblies.
Honda Connectors is supplying 34mm Express card kits and host connectors.
TTI is now offering Molex’s EdgeMate series of power connectors. The devices offer positive PCB locking and significant cost savings for wire-to-edge-card terminations in appliance, industrial and lighting applications.
Harwin has appointed Lacon as its German distributor to help drive increased market penetration in the region. Initially, Lacon will stock Harwin’s hi-rel connector ranges, including Datamate connectors featuring four-finger beryllium copper contact technology and the Harwin Gecko range of 1.25mm hi-rel connectors.
Mouser Electronics is now stocking the EdgeMate power connectors from Molex. These female-edge connectors mate directly to PCB card fingers without a mating header. Molex EdgeMate power connectors offer a positive-lock design for very strong connector-to-PCB retention.
TTI has extended its distribution agreement with Weidmüller to the entire EMEA region — previously, the deal had only covered France via TTI’s Mateleco operation. The company now offers access to Weidmüller’s entire connector product portfolio, including the Omnimate PCB connector and terminal block products for industrial automation applications.
