The Hard Metric connector system is amodular 2.00mm grid system for high density, high-speedboard-to-backplane applications for datarates up to 1.0Gbit/s.The connectors are designed for use in telecomms, networking andhigh end computing applications.
Offering industry standardcompatibility, the range includes type A, B25, B22, B19, AB25,AB22, AB19 and C configurations with or without pre-installedshields.
By using six-contact geometry, a large number of variedcontact mating and termination lengths can be provided.Sequential mating for hot-pluggable applications is available onrequest.
A range of accessories is available to support alldesign requirements, including shrouds for midplane applicationsand coding keys to prevent mismating.
Housings are manufacturedfrom glass-filled PBT, and the compliant press fit contacts areselective gold/tin plated for reliability and performance.
Theconnectors have a current rating of 1A per pin, and initialcontact resistance of 25mohm and operate between -55 and + 125C.Components are packaged in tubes.
