Fibreplus patch panel
Brand-Rex has announced the availability of its 96-way LC multi-mode or single-mode Fibreplus patch panel.
Designed for use in small, corporate and internet data centres, as well as conventional backbone cabling installations, the patch panel is suitable for data network applications where rack space is at a premium.
Intended for use with 2 x 48 or 4 x 24 fibre cables, other cable type or configurations can also be accommodated by Brand-Rex.
Manufactured from powder-coated black mild steel (RAL 9005), the patch panel incorporates 24, four-way fibre adaptors and integral fibre management; cable glands are available as accessories.
'Packaged with pre-installed LC adaptors and accessories as standard, the patch panel's shallow depth allows installation in most conventional racks and wall-mounted enclosures,' said Ken Hodge, RandD manager at Brand-Rex.
'It is also compatible with Brand-Rex's Blolite air-blown fibre, as well as conventional fibre loose tube cables,' he added.
The sliding tray features quick-release fastenings, ensuring easy access for installers and engineers.
The front panel includes a port identification strip, while adjustable mounting brackets at the side allow for a minimum depth of 237mm.
In addition, the rear panel features a standard gland hole configuration.
