Cables and switches for in-vehicle Ethernet
Harting
Ha-Vis 4000 Ethernet switches/data cables
Harting is offering a complete range of switches and data cables for Ethernet communications networks in road and rail vehicles.
A combination of the company's Ha-Vis 4000 range of Ethernet switches and Ha-Vis Etherrail data cables is said to form the basis for reliable Ethernet networks both within and in-between vehicles.
In addition, the implementation of redundant networks designed to meet the connectivity requirements encountered in buses, trams and trains can be optimised with a combination of Ethernet switches with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), highly flexible data cables compliant with LSZH (low-smoke/zero-halogen) requirements and Harting's range of industrial connectors.
The Ha-Vis Econ 4080-BPoE1 eight-port switch can be used to implement video networks as an aid to enhancing passenger safety in the driver's cab or at bus/train stops.
Flexible data cables with four-star construction can be used both as connecting cables at the carriage transition and for installations in the vehicles.
The cables conform to current fire regulations to TS EN 45 545-5 for rail and bus vehicles.
