Harwin has introduced the M40 series, consisting of surface-mount pin headers and sockets, providing a cost-effective product for facilitating secure and reliable PCB to PCB connections.
Benefitting from a low-profile design and dual-beam contact system, the devices are aimed at design engineers seeking to reduce PCB sizes while not sacrificing connector reliability.
M40 series 1mm pitch interconnects are available in dual-row format and feature gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts, surface-mount solder tails and location pegs.
Contact counts range from 2 x 3 up to a maximum of 2 x 25 positions.
All components come packaged in tape and reel format for fully automatic pick and placement.
A typical application for the pin headers and sockets are mezzanine PCB assemblies.
The small contact spacing of 1mm makes the interconnects suitable for use in confined spaces, such as handheld devices.
Mezzanine PCB assemblies can be found in numerous markets, including consumer electronics and industrial control systems.
