Brevis A10204 GPS SMD antenna
Antenova has announced the addition of the Brevis A10204 GPS SMD antenna to the Giganova range of surface-mount antennas.
Designed for ease of integration into small wireless devices, the Brevis GPS antenna is suited for a range of embedded GPS device applications, such as mobile phones, personal navigation devices, PDAs, personal trackers/safety devices, mobile internet devices and plug-in accessories such as USB dongles, secure digital input/output cards, and so on.
Brevis is a low-profile GPS antenna with a small footprint.
It is designed to work well on small boards and can be compared with the performance of a 10 x 10mm or 12 x 12mm patch antenna - but its near omni-directional characteristics enable good performance at any device orientation, according to the company.
Brevis A10204 is a high-efficiency GPS SMD antenna, which operates at 1575MHz.
A10204 is supplied in tape on reel and available for volume purchase through Antenova's global network of distributors and agents.
Antenova offers the Giganova range of antenna solutions for 2.3GHz, 2.4GHz, 2.5GHz, 5GHz, GPS, GSM and ISM900 bands.
Giganova standard antennas are designed for easy integration into wireless devices and are the smart choice for GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wimax and Zigbee applications.
Antenova also offers a range of development support and RF testing to help reduce customisation, design costs and accelerate time-to-market.
