2270DX touch screen
The Fun4four gambling table from TAB-Austria incorporates a 42in Microtouch system dispersive signal technology (DST) 2270DX touch screen from 3M.
The gaming concept presents a return on investment for casino or arcade owners, encouraging increased use through multi-player interaction.
'We considered many technologies for this gaming table application but 3M's DST 2270DX came out on top for its multi-player support, ability to scale to large sizes and its quick-touch response,' said Siegfried Dattl, chief executive of TAB-Austria.
DST has an ability to respond to a player's intended touch and ignore the presence of any inanimate objects such as glasses, bottles, ashtrays or keys, should they be placed on the touch screen rather than the table frame.
The touch screen also has a chemically strengthened glass substrate, which is sealed to prevent contaminants from penetrating the table enclosure, protecting the LCD electronics and other internal components.
Additional DST features include exceptional optical clarity and light transmission, ease of integration and more than 99 per cent touch location accuracy.
Nearly any object can be used to activate the touch screen including finger, fingernail, pencil, prosthetic device, credit card or almost any type of stylus.
The Fun4four table has a versatile design and meet high technical standards.
The height can be varied for operation while seated or standing and incorporates a surround sound system.
The table combines a growing selection of card, skill and trivia games with a browser for web surfing and emailing, plus integrated Google Maps.
Fun4four was demonstrated in the UK for the first time on the TAB-Austria and 3M Touch Systems stands at IGE 2009 in London.
It is already shipping to customers throughout Germany, Spain, Austria, Luxembourg, UK, Ireland, Switzerland and other regions.
