According to the company, multi-touch technology has the potential to make machine operation more intuitive, faster and safer.
Multi-touch devices can detect and evaluate the presence of two or more points of contact with the screen at the same time.
B and R says that this simplifies handling lists, as the operator can scroll through content rather than using narrow scrollbars.
Additionally, safety can be improved by using methods such as blocking certain actions until the other hand presses and additional button at the same time — preventing critical operations from being carried out unintentionally.
