Rotary encoder for home and car multimedia systems
Knitter-Switch
MER 23-20 rotary encoder
Knitter-switch has released the MER 23-20 rotary encoder, which, with a large hollow shaft allowing incorporation of LED or tactile switch within the device, is well-suited to entertainment systems.
Each turn of the encoder is 20 pulses and one cycle is a full 360CW followed by a 360CCW turn.
It has a 9 x 9mm square hole at its centre, which allows the placement of an LED and/or tactile switch on to the encoder's internal PCB.
With a minimum lifetime of 30,000 cycles, MER 23-20 devices offer users a reliable and robust control device.
The MER 23-20, which is also suitable for applications in measuring instruments, has an operating temperature range of -10 to +70C.
