Lorlin introduces fire-proof CK switch

Lorlin Electronics

IP65 sealed CK switch

Lorlin Electronics has released an IP65 sealed version of the CK series of switches, made from UL VO compliant fire-retardant material.

This version is suitable for switching in harsh and outdoor environments.

The single wafer switch's moulded body has a 27.5mm diameter with standard 30 spindle indexing and is available with either solder or printed circuit board terminals.

Up to four poles are available per switch with a maximum 12 positions and shorting (make before break - 30 indexing only) or non-shorting (break before make) contact options.

An adjustable stop restricts the number of positions in use.

Other special order options include 60 or 90 indexing, continuous spindle rotation and reinforcement ring and a fixed stop.

The switch body material is UL V0 rated with gold flashed or gold plated switching contacts.

Spindles may be specified with special flats, slots or knurls.

Rear drive and no-bush versions are also available, as is sealed PCB termination.

The CKS rotary switch family is rated at 150mA @ 250V AC/DC with an expected life of >10,000 cycles.

Operating temperature is -30C to +85 C and its proof voltage is 1,500V AC (Initial).

Specific applications for Lorlin's IP65 to date include rugged torches and shipboard automatic course steering.
