Knitter-Switch unveils MPLS 12 series of switches
Knitter-Switch
MPLS 12 switches
Knitter-Switch, a European switch manufacturer, is offering a series of pushbutton switches for manufacturers of test and measurement instruments, multimedia devices and industrial automation systems.
The company claims that, since the MPLS 12 series has a long travel of more than 5mm, users get 'a distinctive switch feeling' when using the product.
This positive actuation response is said to give users tactile reassurance that the switch has been activated.
This can be useful in noisy environments, such as in factories or control rooms.
The switches are offered in white, red, amber, green and blue and with an amber/green or red/green dual light-emitting diode (LED).
Thanks to the use of gold-plated contacts and terminals, the switching current is a minimum of 10uA.
The MPLS 12 series of pushbutton switches are surface-mount products suitable for 260C reflow soldering.
The switches feature a mechanical lifetime of at least 30 000 operations.
Both latching and momentary types are offered.
The switches are available from a number of distributors throughout Europe.
Samples are usually available on next-day delivery, according to Knitter-Switch.
