Gigabit switch and media converter
Amplicon’s Data Communications Group has expanded its ANE (Amplicon Networking Essentials) range of Industrial Ethernet switches with the addition of an all-gigabit switch and media converter.
The ANE-401G is an entry-level all-gigabit four port switch and media converter in one.
It is suitable for connecting high-bandwidth devices in harsh environments due to its -40 to +75C operating temperature and shock and vibration approvals.
IP CCTV and high-speed data acquisition applications are two primary targets for the ANE-401G.
The product has one SFP slot for fibre-optic connectivity using multi-mode or single-mode SFPs for 1000 Base SX or 1000 Base LX communications.
Fibre can be used in long range (greater than the standard 100m limit of Ethernet) or EMI-sensitive applications.
The unit is supplied with DIN-rail and wall-mount brackets, meaning that the ANE-401G can be securely installed.
A wide 12 to 48V DC input range offers flexible powering options and an alarm output gives an out-of-band alert if a cable is unplugged or one of the redundant power inputs fails.
