Emergency-stop and stop switches
EAO is offering a range of emergency-stop and stop switches suitable for use in factory and automation, food processing, medical, lifting and moving and public transportation applications.
The company supplies various foolproof twist-to-release emergency stops that comply with ISO 13850, EN IEC 60947-5-1 and EN IEC 60947-5-5.
EAO also offers foolproof stop switches and simple stop switches in the industry-standard 16mm and 22.5mm cut-out sizes.
They provide immediate shutdown in critical situations through safe/positive break contacts, plus a long service life of more than 250,000 uses.
There is a choice of either single-piece monoblock products with built-in switch elements or those with separate actuators and elements to facilitate different production techniques.
The standard connections are plug-in or solder, screw, ribbon-cable or PCB terminals, depending on the product range.
Ideal for rugged, heavy-duty applications, the Series 04 and 44 emergency stops are for mounting in a 22.5mm cut-out.
There are options for twist-to-release or key-to-release actuators as well as mushroom-headed stop switches.
The 16mm Series 61 range is ideal for a smaller mounting footprint and the LED-illuminated Series 84 with its short behind-panel depth is suitable for handheld equipment.
Every device is oil resistant and watertight to a minimum IP65 rating.
Accessories include special enclosures, switch guards, palm guards and custom labelling; many others are also available to complete virtually any type of switch.
This choice will accommodate a range of electrical and mechanical specifications for virtually any use.
EAO's products are RoHS and Reach compliant, meet UL requirements and have Electrosuisse, DIN EN and CE approvals.
To help customers to select the most appropriate switch, EAO has published two guides.
A white paper, entitled 'What Designers Need to Know About Emergency-Stop Switches', can be downloaded along with a special emergency-stops catalogue.
