Thecompany's Norsap 1500 chair has been developed toaccommodate full ship's controls in the armrests and thePenny and Giles three-axis JC400 has been selected for itsperfect precision control in this demanding environment.
ExplainsLatitude 52 managing director Peter Methven: "From theseated position the captain can control the whole ship using thePenny and Giles joystick, including close manoeuvring to an oilrig with fingertip control of engines and thrusters".
Headds that precise control is vital, as it is not uncommon forships to have to maintain constant position in a hostile NorthSea.
