Standalone thermal printer has small footprint

The compact printer is available in two versions: one with an external AC adaptor and the other with a built-in AC adaptor.

It allows the letter spacing, font size and top margin of prints to be adjusted in the driver command settings, which can result in a reduction of paper consumption.

The FP-1000 with an external AC adaptor measures 144 x 184 x 120mm and offers a printing speed of 180mm per second.

Each model offers high reliability with a print head that has a minimum printing life of 100km, a long-life cutter that offers a minimum 1.5 million cuts and a heavy-duty mechanism with an MCBF of 60 million lines.

To adapt to the requirements of the market, Fujitsu equipped the standalone printer with additional 'kitchen' functions, such as the sounding of a buzzer, or one of four other sounds, when printing the order sheet.

Other options include a transparent splash-proof cover on top of the printer and a wall mount bracket.

According to the Fujitsu group's environmental standard, the FP-1000 is classified as a 'super green product'.

This signifies that it demonstrates an advanced level of environmental consideration in energy conservation and 3R design/technologies.

The FP-1000 is suitable for a wide variety of printing purposes and applications, such as ECR, POS, ticketing and so on.

Fujitsu will exhibit the FP-1000 at the Euroshop 2011 exhibition, along with the market-proven FP-360, FP-460, FP-510 and FP-32L standalone printers.

Also displayed at Fujitsu's B20 stand in Hall 7A will be print mechanisms, mobile printers and touch panels.

The Euroshop 2011 exhibition will take place from 26 February - 2 March 2011 at Messe Dusseldorf.
