Isobus panel PC
American Industrial Systems (AIS) has introduced a 12.1 Isobus virtual terminal, designed for applications in farming, automotive and agricultural machinery, diagnostic equipment, and monitoring.
The AIS Isobus panel PC is sealed to IP67/Nema 6 rated standards for water and dust protection, and is capable of operating in harsh environments, including water submersion.
In addition, the display is compliant with MIL-STD-810F rating for vibration, shock, and drop for in-vehicle applications.
A touch-screen human-machine interface (HMI) is built-in for monitoring and control of CAN-bus (controller-area network) peripherals.
The entry level CAN-bus terminal is pre-designed and engineered for quick deployment and integration in existing farming and agricultural applications.
Powering the Isobus system is a high-performance, fan-less 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, designed for long product life cycle and reliable operation in industrial conditions.
A high-brightness 1,000nit sunlight-readable LCD panel is standard, providing sharp, crisp images in outdoor environments.
Staying connected is simple with built-in 802.11b/g wireless support, CAN-bus connectivity, and optimal GPS support for location and tracking.
AIS's PC-based Isobus virtual terminal complies with the latest ISO 11783 and SAE J1939 protocols, allowing manufacturers easy deployment into field machinery, increasing productivity and reducing time to market.
A rugged, corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy housing protects the internal components, meeting military standard 810F specs for anti-shock and vibration requirements.
Military standard M12 connectors are used for input/output connections, which are all rated to IP67, maintaining the sealing integrity of the system.
The ruggedised system is capable of withstanding -10C to +50C operating temperatures and compliant with Military 810F standards for anti-shock, vibration, and drop.
This provides a robust vehicle-mounted system in extreme environments.
AIS said its touch-screen Isobus system provides a cost-effective, long-lifecycle system for logistics, farming, automotive, transportation, marine and agricultural industries where performance and reliability are critical.
