American Industrial Systems (AIS) has introduced a 15in IP67 sealed LCD display that is ideal for use in transportation, outdoor, military, and commercial applications.
The LCD display meets EN 50155 and MIL-810F Environmental Engineering standards and can be used in wet, dusty, rugged and humid environments.
It features a high-brightness display capable of performing in direct sunlight applications.
Additional human-machine interface (HMI) touch-screen integration is an available option, enhancing the versatility of the display, doubling as a user input for point of sale, communication and monitoring.
Enhanced protection against railway shock and vibration is designed into the ruggedised housing.
The rugged weatherproof display opens up opportunities to introduce touch-screen LCD displays into DMU (diesel multiple unit) and EMU (electric multiple unit) applications.
The IP67 LCD display is encased in a waterproof and dustproof anti-corrosive aluminium enclosure, ensuring complete all-weather protection including the rear I/O connectors.
Additionally, the rugged display is compliant with Military 810F Environmental Engineering standards for shock and vibration.
Wide temperature modules are available, allowing the display to operate in extreme temperatures of up to -20C to +60C ambient conditions.
Vesa standard mounting holes are available on the unit for easy deployment into any installation.
