Beijer Electronics has extended its monitor and IPC product range for maritime applications with the MTe T240 Nautic widescreen maritime monitor.
The MTe T240 Nautic features a 23.6in widescreen format and LED backlight, eliminating the need for high-voltage components such as neon tubes and inverters that Beijer claims are liable to faults.
These LED stripes, which can be dimmed down to zero for use in bridges on vessels and control rooms with night operation conditions, are also claimed to provide more even lighting compared with older tube backlight units.
Available with touch display or with anti-reflection glass front, the monitor is designed to fit perfectly in consoles that are 60cm wide.
