Printers/plotters offer fast print speeds

These wide format printers are particularly suited to the harsh environments of the oil and gas industry and are used in a variety of applications from offshore platforms to exploration trucks.

The Printrex 823 and 843 printer plotters from Trident are much faster than existing models, with plot speeds of two and four inches per second respectively.

Despite the higher speeds, the printers also produce plots of higher image quality than the previous generation, with a 50 per cent increase in linear dot density to 300dpi along with 32 levels of grey.

The printers also feature Ethernet interfaces, allowing them to be controlled remotely via a local area network (LAN).

A USB port is also provided for local printer connection, as well as for upgrading the embedded printer firmware.

The 823 and 843 models are offered in desktop and rack mount form, so that they can be readily used in the office or on a logging truck.
