LCD module has full-colour backlight

Featuring a "full colour" RGB backlight, the new 128240B graphics LCD module from Digital Displays has many features.

By using a fully selectable RGB backlight designers can use this facility to indicate different functions and to give prominence to warning signals.

The backlight can easily be switched to show the primary colours of red, green and blue or in combination to produce a white background.

The backlight is further enhanced by incorporating Displaytech's novel micro-lens technology that provides an even surface illumination across the display area with good brightness while keeping power consumption to a minimum.

The 128240B has a viewing area of 92.0 x 53.0mm and a compact overall size of 98.7 x 67.7 x 5.7mm.

Available in FSTN positive transflective mode the standard operating temperature is -20 to +70C with a wide temperature option of -30 to +80C as an option.

The module is suitable for a wide range of applications including instrumentation, handheld devices, access control system and point of sale products.
