Graphics display has colourful backlight

New from Displaytech and available from GPEG International, the 64240C is an ultracompact monochrome graphics LCD module with a "full colour" RGB backlight.

The integrated and fully selectable RGB backlight allows designers to use this facility to indicate different functions and to give prominence to warning signals.

The backlight can easily be switched to show the primary colours of red, green and blue or in combination to produce a white background.

The backlight is further enhanced by incorporating Displaytech's novel micro-lens technology that provides an even surface illumination across the display area with good brightness while keeping power consumption to a minimum.

The module is also available with a single colour backlight in yellow/green, blue or white.

The 64240C has a viewing area of 132.6 x 39.0mm and a compact overall sise of 144.9 x 56.4 x 5.7mm.

Available in FSTN positive transflective or negative transmissive mode the standard operating temperature is -20 to +70C with a wide temperature option of -30 to +80C as an option.

The module is suitable for a wide range of applications including instrumentation, handheld devices, access control system and point of sale products.
