The 5in WVGA (800x480) TFT display module from GPEG International features a product availability lifetime of a minimum of three years.
It also has a high-brightness, long-life LED backlight, good contrast ratio and an extended operating temperature range of -30 to 85C.
This display is particularly suitable for use in equipment that requires good readability while operating under harsh climatic conditions.
This includes outdoor and industrial applications such as portable information terminals, test equipment, marine instruments and access-control systems.
The 800 x RGB x 480 pixels TFT LCD module uses amorphous silicon transmissive LCD technology and an LED backlight to achieve typical brightness levels of 450cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 250:1.
The display will operate in portrait or landscape mode.
Capable of displaying up to 16.7M colours, the display is available with or without a LCD controller.
The controller version features a MCU interface with a choice of 8, 9,16 and 18 bits, while the non-controller version has an 8-bit RGB interface.
The module has an active area of 110 x 67mm contained within its overall dimensions of 119 x 77 x 3.2mm.
The LED backlight supports wide-range dimming control using PWM and has a lifetime of 50,000 hours.
There is also a left-right viewing angle of 160deg.
