Display module series uses COG technology

GPEG

Display module series

The use of chip-on-class (COG) technology in a display module series from GPEG has resulted in a high resolution of 64 x 128 dots - equivalent to eight lines of 20 characters.

The monochrome LCD modules also feature the Sitronix ST ST7565R-G controller chip for improved graphics and a choice of parallel or SPI-4 serial interface.

The controller also features a display reverse mode and power consumption is kept to a minimum.

Connection is via an FPC into a Zif socket.

The 64128COG modules are available in FSTN and feature a wide viewing angle and high contrast.

The modules are available in three sizes, each with the following viewing area: 64128K: 50.0 x 25.0 mm, 64128L: 60.6 x 33.1 mm, 64128M: 70.0 x 40.0 mm.

LED backlighting is provided by the built-in low-power white LED backlight, other colours are available as an option including, blue, green, red and selectable RGB.

Wide temperature operation of -20C to +70C makes the module ideal for use in portable and handheld equipment.
