Display module provides access to wide screen size
Reach Technology
Display module
Reach Technology has introduced a 7in (18cm) display module that gives customers access to the wide WVGA screen size that offers extended control area.
The module uses a 7in light-emitting-diode (LED) backlight TFT panel suitable for industrial, long-life applications.
Reach Technology's 7in module comes complete with an SLCD5 controller board, an LCD, a backlight driver and a touch screen.
The display module technology and programming tools facilitate graphical user interface (GUI) and integration.
This helps customers reduce time-to-market and development costs.
The 7in LCD is an ideal size for a range of control surfaces.
The wide screen ratio creates a suitable user interface space and gives customers looking for a screen larger than 5.7in a good value, according to Reach.
Even though the 7in module is nearly as wide as the 8.4in module, it costs 40 per cent less.
The display resolution is 800 pixels x 480 pixels (WVGA) with a luminance of 280cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 400:1 and a uniform viewing angle of 130 degrees.
A high bright 400cd/m2 option is available.
The module has a steel mounting bracket with mounting holes, making the display easy to mount.
The power requirement is 5VDC and two serial interfaces are supplied.
