Slim-Box Vario
Slim-Box Vario housings are 300mm deep and designed for the installation of cPCI, cPCI Express or VME64x boards in 3U or 6U format.
Rittal has a new range of horizontally cooled housings for CompactPCI or VME systems.
Complete with integrated power supply and climate control features, the 19in rack mounted Slim-Box Vario offers a powerful solution for small electronic assemblies.
Space saving Slim-Box Vario housings are 300mm deep and designed for the installation of cPCI, cPCI Express or VME64x boards in 3U or 6U format and optional rear I/O boards.
Two slots per U of height are available at the front and rear.
The housings contain a VME64x or cPCI backplane, which can be monolithic with integral power connection for hot-swap applications.
To accompany the horizontal arrangement of the boards, DC fans in the left-hand side panel provide optimum ventilation for the housing, via a slide-in fan unit with air filter and 12V DC fans.
The fan unit and filter mat is easily removed for service and cleaning.
With fans to the left and memory to the right - Slim-Box Vario provides sufficient installation room for a slim CD-ROM drive and a 3.5in HDD.
Power is supplied either by an ATX power supply or optionally as a hot-swappable plug-in power supply.
Accessories include guide rails, monitoring components and front panels.
Housings can also be customised using a range of standard components.
