MicroTCA development system
Schroff has expanded its range of MicroTCA products with the addition of a versatile 8U development system that can be used as a rack-mount unit or converted into a desktop version.
As well as accommodating 12 double mid-size AMC slots and two redundant full-size MCH slots, the MicroTCA development system offers two alternative power configurations, with space for either two power modules up to 12HP wide or two 6HP power modules, one 9HP power module and one compact JSM module.
All versions include two hot-swap cooling units, each with cooling unit management and front-removable air filter cassettes.
The system has a cooling capacity of 80W per AMC slot and 60W for the power module slots.
Featuring a dual star backplane with clock topology in accordance with the AMC.0 R.2.0 specification, the development system uses GbE and S-ATA protocols in the common options area, together with a choice of 10GbE, PCIe or rapid I/O protocols in the fat pipe/extended fat pipe.
