Minitec enclosures
OKW's range of Minitec miniature enclosures now includes wrist strap models.
The cases have been designed for small electronic devices that can be worn on the wrist, for example, personal security devices, exposure detection units, emergency call buttons, medical devices and remote control units.
The new models form part of an extensive line of more than 120 Minitec enclosures that offer a huge range of sizes, styles and colour combinations.
As part of the launch, OKW has teamed up with Farnell, which is offering the entire Minitec range from stock.
The wrist strap models are available in two standard sizes: 52 x 32 x 15mm and 68 x 43 x 18mm.
Each case consists of a top part, bottom part and a soft intermediate ring.
The top and base parts are moulded in off-white or lava grey ABS, or black infrared transparent PMMA (UL 94 HB).
The intermediate rings are moulded in soft-touch TPE in four standard colours: volcano grey, orange, lime green and bright blue.
The intermediate rings have lateral strap loops that are used to fit the accessory wrist strap.
The 280mm-long wrist strap is made from elastic nylon and is secured on the wrist with Velcro.
The cases are offered with a recessed top part, which is designed for locating a membrane keypad or product label, or a smooth top part for fitting rubber keypads and so on.
Location bosses are moulded in the base parts for mounting PCBs and components, and the cases are assembled using a single self-tapping fixing screw.
