The lightweight static dissipative polyester (SDP) enclosure can be mounted in all industrial flammable or combustible atmospheres and provides the operator with a bright-green flashing LED to confirm a positive connection to earth, as well as a pair of output contacts for interlock with pumps, valves and other control or alarm devices.

The intrinsically safe system — which comprises an indicator/junction box and a power supply unit/controller — is said to be simple to observe close to the point of use, for example, on drum-filling or mixing machines.

Key specifications

  • 10-ohm monitoring threshold for the pass/fail condition is said to conform to all major industrial static control technical standards and guidelines
  • Earth verification system is water and dust proof to IP66/Nema 4X
  • Operation is via a user-selectable 110–230VAC 50/60Hz supply
  • System ensures compliance with the best-practice guidelines of NFPA 77 and Cenelac TR 50404 for controlling static electricity
