These ergonomic housings have a modern flat form with contoured edges and a central recessed control area for mounting a membrane keypad or display module.
Typical applications will include door entry systems, time loggers, detections systems, communications devices, and wellness and medical equipment.
The Diatec range consists of two basic sizes, with external dimensions of 210 x 200 x 48 and 270 x 200 x 48mm, respectively.
The central control area is recessed by 2.5mm and has dimensions of 120 x 128 or 180 x 128mm.
The cases are moulded in off-white ABS (UL94HB) and consist of four moulded parts: the top and base parts and two contoured side panels that are snapped into place.
The interior of the case can also be subdivided using accessory slot-in panels.
Screw pillars are also provided in the top and base for mounting PCBs.
The hinged lid accessory covers the control area and is available solid ABS or translucent polycarbonate.
For wall-mounted applications, the base part also functions as a wall bracket with premoulded fixing points.
Flush and recessed areas in the base part are designed for installation and protection of interfaces, cable glands, connectors etc Power cables can enter the case via the underside or base panel.
Alternatively, two 1.5V AA or a single 9V cell can accommodated in the base part.
