Rittal Electronic Systems has added a range of DC-poweredhigh-density CompactPCI solutions to its popular AC models.
Thesystems make full use of every U of height, with a maximum slotcount of 2 x 4HP making efficient use of the available rackspace, with a full CPCI maximum of eight slots in the 4U housing.Available from stock in four sizes from 1 to 4U, these systemsare ideal for web hosting, e-commerce servers, firewalls, DSNservers, e-mail servers, colocation platforms or any Internetapplications where more I/O is required.
The systems accommodatefront and rear boards, hot-plug power supplies and are equippedwith integral cooling fans, guide rails for plugin boards andmonolithic backplanes for direct plugin DC power, CPU and systemboards.
The power supplies, fitting alongside the horizontallymounted 6U CPCI boards are 175, 200 or 250W DC and have N+1 andpower sharing.
Each PSU occupies just 3U x 8HP x 160mm, allowingspace for at least one drive in most systems.
