Easyradio Advanced wireless modules
Low Power Radio Solutions (LPRS) is now delivering production quantities of its Easyradio Advanced (ERA) wireless modules, which are suitable for applications such as building and home automation, sports and leisure systems, security, vehicle logistics and asset tracking, environmental monitoring and energy control, industrial control and smart metering.
This latest generation of wireless radios incorporates the new version of the company’s Easyradio software protocol, which is intended to remove the complexities of developing a software interface to the ERA modules.
According to the company, existing users of Easyradio Version 02 will be able to upgrade their projects to the ‘advanced’ versions as required.
Key features and specifications
- Free flash firmware upgrade tools allow customers to install any required updates
- Bandwidth may be adjusted between 100kHz and 12.5kHz
- Digital received signal strength indication (RSSI) reduces the requirement of the host system to handle analogue-to-digital measurements
- Users can program transmission frequency (up to 132 channels), output power (up to 10mW), serial data rate (up to 115.20Kbps maximum), digital RSSI, carrier detect, FSK and ASK modulation and bandwidths (12.5kHz, 25kHz, 50kHz, 100kHz)
- ERA range is comprised of 433–434MHz and 868–920MHz multi-frequency transmitter and transceiver modules plus a development kit with a USB interface
