Sirena SMD beacons
Now available from Switchtec, Sirena’s SMD range of beacons is designed to deliver alerts in applications such as control automation; electric vehicles; security, evacuation and warning applications; factory automation; and educational environments.
According to the company, Sirena created the SMD range through redeveloping its existing LED beacons to create smaller, more efficient and more compact beacons with brighter outputs, longer-lasting bulbs and enhanced features.
Switchtec claims that, through using the latest surface-mount LED technology, the SMD range has low power consumption, zero maintenance, high vibration resistance, 100,000 hours of life, excellent optical definition, improved light output and multi-function outputs.
The range includes three products, the Microlamp, CTL and Ovolux beacons, each possessing different features and light functions.
Key specifications
- Low-voltage version has 12–24VAC/DC input range
- High-voltage version has 90–240VAC input range
- 48VDC/DC option available on request
- Colours available: red, amber, yellow, blue, green and clear
- IP54 to IP65 protection rating allows outdoors use
- Microlamp and CTL products are surface mount
- Ovolux can be panel mounted, or, using TWS accessories, pole or wall mounted
- Microlamp and CTL products offer versions with built-in sounder
