Step-in enclosure has high-strength characteristic
Teko Enclosures
Tekmag
Teko has introduced a step-in enclosure design with its Tekmag range.
These IP 67 hand-held cases are manufactured in Teknium, a magnesium-based alloy with super strength, ultra lightweight and high shielding characteristics.
This is the first time such a material has been used on a standard enclosure, and ensures suitability for very high tech applications such as industrial automation, medical, avionics, marine and automotive equipment.
Tekmag enclosures feature a modern contoured design and consist of three die-cast parts: top, base and battery compartment lid.
The external dimensions are 157mm x 99mm x 31mm, and the top section includes a recessed area, 132mm x 72mm, for fitting a membrane keypad or product label.
There is also room for displays, connectors and controls.
Three standard models are offered with or without a battery compartment for two or four 1.5V AA cells, or one or two 9V cells.
All models are supplied with a sealing gasket that is rated up to IP 67 protection class.
The cases are provided with screw pillars for fitting PCBs and other components.
