A novel universal mounting rail enables designers to mountdifferent servers in a single rack or enclosure.Supplier-specific mounting adapters in the universal mountingrail simulate the mounting conditions of the hardware and can belinked with the original mounting kits which are supplied withevery server.
The server can be mounted directly to the punchingsof the 19in mounting angles on all of Rittal's IT racks andthe special construction of the mounting rail provides freeaccess to the 19in level so the server can be fastened withscrews after insertion.
Very little investment in the mountingsystem is needed on the part of the server operators to ensurethe long-term use of the enclosures even if technology advancesshould generate servers of new sizes, mounting requirements orhigher packing density.
Rittal currently supports the servers ofleading suppliers and all modules by providing 19in frontmounting.
