Soldering/de-soldering tips enhance productivity

Plato soldering and de-soldering tips
Soldering specialist Solder Connection has come to an agreement with ITW Contamination Control to market the Plato range of soldering and de-soldering tips in the UK and Ireland.
Plato manufactures replacement tips to fit many soldering and de-soldering irons, including Weller/Ungar, Pace, Ersa and Hakko, among others.
Plato tips are constructed from highly conductive premium-grade copper, which the company claims transmits heat to the work more quickly than other brands of soldering tips.
The quick heat recover enables more joints to be soldered per minute, reducing manufacturing time and costs.
Higher temperatures and high-tin-content solders, common in lead-free soldering processes, place additional strain on soldering iron tips.
The long life of a Plato tip is said to reduce the need for tip changes, decreasing the total number of tips used and increasing productivity.
Plato soldering and de-soldering tips are lead-free in accordance with European Union Directive 2002/95 EC.
They may be used in any electronics manufacturing process that produces RoHS-compliant products.
Solder Connection stocks a selection of popular sizes and styles for immediate despatch within the UK and Ireland.
Under the agreement, Solder Connection's Irish operation will distribute the complete Plato range, including solder pots, sponges and cutters.
