SEAS develops flexible placement machine
Siemens A and D Electronics Assembly Systems
Siplace SX
Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems (SEAS) has unveiled its Siplace SX placement machine that enables manufacturers to invest in either capacity or speed when purchasing SMT equipment.
The Siplace SX placement machine has full gantry modularity - a technology designed to avoid expensive line reconfigurations.
The machine's gantries can be replaced in less than 30 minutes with an easy-to-use changeover system.
This concept of gantry modularity unlinks placement performance and capacity from each other and makes them individually scalable in line with demand.
The Siplace SX gains additional flexibility from the 12-nozzle Siplace Multistar placement head with CPP (collect and pick and place) technology, which switches automatically to the most efficient placement mode.
Siemens said that its compact and adjustable Siplace SX forms the basis for future-oriented manufacturing concepts that can adapt to changing customer requirements without having to constantly reconfigure SMT lines.
SEAS also offers the Siplace Feeder Care programme.
This concept integrates all relevant procedures and people into feeder care processes to provide efficient and preventive feeder maintenance without losing production time.
The entire Siplace Feeder Care package consists of the updated Siplace S-Feeder Care Package, the new Siplace X-Feeder Care Package and the Siplace Feeder Care Solutions.
Together with the Siplace Feeder Care Manager, the latter enables professional teams to keep the feeders up-to-date quickly and efficiently.
With the Siplace Feeder Care packages, Siplace customers receive all the test stations, tools, instructions and knowledge they need to inspect, maintain, repair and manage Siplace feeders.
