STI announces training courses
STI Electronics
CIT and CIS courses
As a resource to the industry and recent developers of the IPC certification programme, STI Electronics is offering the IPC-7711/7721 revision B CIT and CIS courses.
These courses were beta tested in the US and Europe.
Some of the changes that were made to these courses include more information on lead free, a decrease in the number of projects (in some areas), and the addition of a conductor repair project that allows students to repair an SMT land with a trace.
The course length for the CIT (instructor) course is 40 hours.
The CIS (operator) course contains nine skill-specific modules and is therefore customisable to particular needs.
These courses can be conducted at STI's facility in Madison, or at the customer's facility.
