TFC offers miniature quartz crystal suitable for use in wildlife tracking applications
Total Frequency Control
LT-4 quartz crystal
Total Frequency Control (TFC) has introduced Laptech Precision’s LT-4 quartz crystal, which is claimed to be the world’s smallest and lightest precision quartz crystal and thus suited to the miniaturisation of OCXO designs.
Potential applications include miniature radio-frequency applications, as well as use in channel crystals for wildlife tracking, such as fish tags and avian monitoring transceivers.
The units may be filled with dry nitrogen or vacuum brazed, with gold-plated electrodes providing extra durability.
Available with lead options including straight and pre-formed leads for SMD requirements, these units may be manufactured with AT cut, SC cut and IT cut quartz.
