Sn100Sb alloy
BLT Circuit Services has released the Sn100Sb alloy, a lead-free solder alternative.
Nitrogen-cast high purity Sn100Sb alloy is a drop-in replacement for many of the Sn100 alloys commonly used for HASL machines, wave and selective soldering systems.
Sn100Sb alloy wets well and has good through-hole capillary action.
It produces less dross than SAC alloys and other Sn100 alternatives.
Independent testing by ITRI shows excellent wetting speeds, low copper dissolution and good hardness figures.
It is available in 1kg nitrogen-cast bars, feeder bars and solid wires.
Exceptional results have also been noted against SAC alloys in selective soldering systems.
