Polymer potting agent is easy to work

Master Bond UV10SP-2A is a single-component flexible UV-curing polymer with an attractive balance of pertinent physical, electrical and chemical properties.

It is a 100% reactive moderate-viscosity liquid at ambient temperatures, and does not contain any solvents or other volatiles.

Unlike many other commercially available UV curing products, the Master Bond UV10SP-2A is not oxygen inhibited and exhibits a desirably fast curing rate at ambient temperatures even in the presence of air.

UV10SP-2A can be cured in much greater section thickness (up to 3.2mm deep) compared with most conventional UV type systems, making it of value for various electronics and optoelectronics potting and encapsulation applications.

Another noteworthy property of the UV10SP-2A is its high flexibility which imparts excellent vibration and shock resistance as well as superior ability to withstand thermal cycling and thermal shock.

When exposed to a UV light source, Master Bond Polymer System UV10SP-2A cures as a durable, tough, nonyellowing system which can be used as an adhesive, sealant and coating.

UV10SP-2A also possesses excellent electrical insulation properties.

Maximum absorption of UV energy takes place in the 250-365nm range.

The cured coatings, adhesives and sealants can be used over the exceptionally wide temperature range of -50 to +120C.

UV10SP-2A is a reworkable compound.

As it is readily attacked by most solvents it is ideal for those applications when the cured polymer must be easily removable.
