Laser-cut stencils achieve aperture size accuracy
Alpha - Cookson Electronics
Laser-cut stencils
Cookson Electronics has invested in new laser cutting equipment, which it claims will take laser-cut stencils to new levels of accuracy and repeatability.
Named Alpha Cut Plus, these stainless-steel laser-cut stencils are reported by Cookson to achieve better and more consistent aperture shapes.
The company said the aperture size accuracy for the new stencil is below 5 microns with 6 sigma repeatability.
Better and more consistent positional accuracy is claimed below 10 microns, also at 6 sigma repeatability levels.
