Intertronics offers silicone elastomers

silicone elastomers
Intertronics has released a range of silicone elastomers from sales partner ACC Silicones, including optically clear encapsulants and a range of gels and rubbers with differing cure cycles.
Together with harder silicone elastomers, Intertronics can offer a product for most LED potting applications that require non-yellowing optical clarity.
Refractive index is from 1.4 to 1.49, with a product now available at 1.53.
The range also includes thermally conductive compounds, which are excellent at dissipating unwanted heat away from the diode to a suitable heat sink.
This is essential for optimum performance, and can easily be achieved by a product such as ACC Q-Sil 533, which offers a good balance of heat conductivity while retaining a low modulus and hardness, reducing stresses during thermal cycles.
The ACC range encompasses optically clear and heat dissipating materials, and a wide selection of encapsulants for general environmental protection in a variety of colours, hardnesses and thermal conductivities.
