Antistat environmentally friendly packing
Farnell is offering Antistat's environmentally friendly packaging solution for the electronics industry.
The packaging offers the same level of protection as standard ESD packaging, but can be disposed of in composting facilities, reducing the impact on the environment.
The bags are fully biodegradable to the recognised European standard (EN13432) and ensure that no harmful chemicals are released into the environment.
They also have inherent static dissipative properties.
Antistat is working to extend the use of the material to other component packaging types and to make the bags available for others in the electronic component industry.
