RF Engines offers high-speed cores for demanding, real-time spectrum analysis
RF Engines
Hyperspeed Plus cores
RF Engines has introduced Hyperspeed Plus cores, which process complex data streams in continuous real time at data rates exceeding 52 Giga samples per second for a 2,048-point FFT implemented on a Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA device.
The cores are designed for use in applications where extreme processing speed is required within minimum silicon resources, such as wide-band surveillance and scientific or test instrumentation.
According to RF Engines, the Hyperspeed FFT becomes the ‘ultimate real-time spectrum analyser’ when coupled with the latest ADCs, capable of analysing tens of GHz of bandwidth continuously in real time.
The FFT is designed to run on Xilinx FPGAs, with lengths from 32–128K point and with longer lengths available by request.
