Maplesoft enhances testing and assessment tool

Offering a host of new features Maple TA 5.0 is expected to enhance flexibility and performance of content management, as well as simplify system administration.

Maple TA is a web-based system for creating tests and assignments, and automatically assessing student responses and performance.

The latest product includes a new question management model, which provides increased flexibility when organising questions.

This model also provides improved performance when loading and saving questions and a simple process for sharing content with colleagues.

This is designed to enable instructors to assemble assignments more quickly and reuse questions more effectively.

With Maple TA 5.0, connectivity to Blackboard software has been expanded to include support for Blackboard Vista/CE (formerly WebCT).

Using the Blackboard Connector, Maple TA can be integrated into the institution's course management system.

Other new features in Maple TA include: an administration interface that makes it easier to set up and monitor the system; access to the full computational power of Maple 13; a new user guide for course instructors; and an enhanced assignment editor.
